The right automatic roll mesh welding machine must match your wire diameter, mesh openings, roll width and factory power supply. DAPU’s production records from 2019 to 2026 show how these requirements vary between customer projects. Use the examples below to define the configuration your factory needs.

Customer Specifications from Nine Countries
The table lists selected customer requirements recorded by DAPU between 2019 and 2026. The power-supply entries describe the factories in those projects.
| Country | Wire Diameter | Mesh Opening / Spacing | Maximum Mesh Width | Project Power Supply |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| South Africa | 1–2 mm | Minimum longitudinal opening: 13 mm for 1–1.6 mm wire; 26 mm for 1.6–2 mm wire | 1,820 mm | 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz |
| Ecuador | 1.2–2.8 mm | Minimum longitudinal opening: 25 mm for 1.2–2.05 mm wire; 50 mm for 2–2.8 mm wire | 2,500 mm | 440 V, 3-phase, 60 Hz |
| Brazil | 1.2–2.8 mm | Longitudinal: 25–150 mm; cross-wire: 25–150 mm, depending on configuration | Up to 2,550 mm | 380 V, 3-phase, 60 Hz |
| India | 1–1.8 mm | Longitudinal: 15, 30 and 60 mm; cross-wire: 16 and 32 mm | 1,250 mm | 440 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz |
| Egypt | 0.65–1.2 mm | 1/2 in, 1 in and 2 in | 1,524 mm | 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz |
| Russia | 0.65–2.2 mm | 12.5 × 12.5 mm, 25 × 25 mm and 50 × 50 mm, depending on wire diameter | 2,025 mm | 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz |
| Mexico | 0.6–1.2 mm | Centre-to-centre spacing: 4.95–12.34 mm; clear opening: 4.30–11.62 mm | Approx. 1,200 mm | 440 V, 3-phase, 60 Hz |
| Morocco | 1.5–2.8 mm | Minimum longitudinal opening: 25 mm for 1.5–2 mm wire; 50 mm for 2–2.8 mm wire | 2,025 mm | 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz |
| Romania | 1.5–2.2 mm | Longitudinal: 50, 75 and 100 mm; cross-wire: 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 mm | 2,000 mm | 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz |
How These Specifications Affect Machine Selection
Match Wire Diameter and Mesh Opening Together
The South African example pairs 1–1.6 mm wire with a minimum longitudinal opening of 13 mm, and 1.6–2 mm wire with 26 mm. Ecuador and Morocco also list different minimum openings for different wire-diameter ranges.
When comparing machines, provide each wire diameter together with the mesh opening you need to produce. This helps DAPU select the welding-head arrangement and transformer configuration for the actual product, rather than selecting equipment from its maximum wire diameter alone.
If your factory makes several products, list each diameter-and-opening combination separately.
Specify Both Directions and the Measurement Method
The Indian and Romanian specifications list different longitudinal and cross-wire spacings. Your product drawing should therefore show both directions clearly.
The Mexican example also distinguishes centre-to-centre spacing from clear opening. Keep those labels on your drawings and quotation requests so the machine configuration is based on the intended dimensions.
A request for “small-opening mesh” leaves important details unanswered. A drawing with both wire diameters and both spacing directions gives a clearer basis for equipment selection.
Match Working Width and Factory Power
The Ecuadorian and Brazilian entries both cover 1.2–2.8 mm wire, but their listed working widths are 2,500 mm and up to 2,550 mm. Specify the width of the finished mesh you intend to produce alongside the wire and opening requirements.
Factory power needs the same attention. The South African and Brazilian projects both list 380 V, while their frequencies are 50 Hz and 60 Hz respectively.
Provide voltage, phase and frequency together. This allows the electrical configuration to be matched to your factory supply.
Machine Controls and Components for Daily Production
Adjustable Welding Settings
Welding current and welding time are set directly on the control panel. The welding transformers provide eight adjustment levels, allowing the welding setup to be adapted to different wire requirements.
For factories producing several mesh specifications, these controls provide adjustment options for each product’s welding setup.
Mesh Counter for Roll-Length Setting
A mesh counter sets the finished roll length, reducing routine manual measuring during production.
Specify the roll length as well as the width when requesting a machine. This connects the length-setting function with the rolls your factory plans to supply.
Inverter Speed Control and Drive Configuration
The upgraded electrical configuration includes a Delta inverter for speed control, a Delixi circuit breaker and Schneider components.
The drive uses a Mengniu main motor and a Guomao reducer. The frame construction combines 1.5 mm steel plate with a square-section steel base.
Together with the welding controls and roll-length counter, these details give your team specific configuration items to compare when reviewing a quotation.
Request a Configuration for Your Mesh Products
Send DAPU your wire specifications, mesh openings in both directions, required width and roll length, wire supply format, factory power supply and output target.
Our team can recommend an electric welded mesh machine configuration matched to the products you plan to manufacture.
